Conduct in Weekend Islamic School (WIS):
Parents are expected to bring their children to school on time and pick them up promptly after Dhuhr prayer. Neither babysitting nor child supervision is available after school hours. It is the responsibility of the parents to make the proper transportation arrangements to and from school for their children.
Students and teachers are at the school for one basic goal: to promote the Islamic educational development of the students. To accomplish this goal each student is expected to:
- Arrive on time, (we expect the parent’s cooperation in this)
- Dress modestly and in an Islamic manner
- NO shorts
- NO clothes with pictures of animals or people
- NO tight fitting clothes
- Females should cover themselves except their face, hands and feet
Come to the class prepared, with paper, pencils, and completed assignments ·
- Make no disruptive noise or gestures ·
- Get the teacher’s permission to leave class ·
- Treat others and their property with respect ·
- Raise their hand for permission before speaking
Failure to comply may result in the following sequence of disciplinary actions:
- Name is recorded
- Standing for 5 minutes
- Referred to the Principal
- No recess privilege
- Parents are contacted
- Dismissal from school
